Michael Madlener CTA, CA
Michael’s first degree was a Bachelor of Business Agriculture from the Muresk Institute of Agriculture and he followed this with roles in viticulture and roadhouse management. Deciding to change career he completed a Masters of Accounting at Curtin University and following further study and work experience he became a Chartered Accountant. He has also completed self-managed super fund specialist training through the University of New South Wales.
Michael joined the predecessor firm to Thornburys Accountants and Advisors in 2003 and became a partner of Thornburys in 2007. As Production Partner of Thornburys, Michael draws on over 9 years of experience managing small business and over 10 years of professional tax and accounting experience to provide clients with accounting and taxation advice that recognises the realities of running small to medium businesses. He also provides advice to a large number of self-managed superannuation funds.
Michael is currently mentoring several CA candidates within the firm and is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and the Tax Institute of Australia.
